A professor of Theatre Arts at Texas Tech University since 1952, Schulz earned his Master's degree from Northwestern University. During his tenure, he directed over 100 major theater productions at Texas Tech and was active in the Texas Education Theatre Association (TETA) and other statewide theater groups.
